LAST EXIT GRAN CANARIA
directed by Tim Lienhard – 101movieGmbH production ©2024 release in spring 2025
In spring 2024 I shot my third feature film in Spain. At a porn festival in Torremolinos and during Pride Week in Gran Canaria.
My drag look is grotesquely sexualized. In this autofictional movie essay I describe my sexual self-development. From a Catholic background in southern Germany, I found my way to becoming a provocatively performative drag figure, as which, at the age of 64, I now party with mostly young men.
The journey in the film goes from Berlin via a porn festival in Torremolinos to Gran Canaria. On the Costa del Sol I compare myself with young onlyfans creators, and on Gran Canaria with Pride tourists of the same age. Age, identity, sexuality and self-esteem are the leitmotifs of this dazzling documentary, which impresses with its shameless openness and is a plea for freedom in regressive times.
My young friends Enrico & Jonas accompanied me on this journey. Not only they have been fantastic behind the camera, I also got them in front of the camera. They complement the voices of the similar protagonists in this movie, whom I interviewed in Gran Canaria, by taking a raw, unbiased look at an island they were traveling to for the first time.
